We always leave Siem Reap at your convenience. Therefore, we can leave to visit the Tonle Sap in the morning or, if you’d like to stay for sunset, in the mid-afternoon. We travel in an air-conditioned car or van and head directly to the floating villages from your hotel. On the way, we can make stops to see a Buddhist pagoda, visit a rural market, and try some street food.
Upon arrival in the village, we board a boat and travel through the heart of the floating village, passing by stilted and floating homes that have been here for generations. If you are visiting Kompong Phluk, you will have a chance to take a rowboat through the flooded forest. After passing through the floating village, we continue onwards to the Tonle Sap lake where your guide will talk about its unique ecosystem and importance to residents of Cambodia. This tour lasts from 4 -5 hours depending on your needs.
