Guests will leave Siem Reap and head towards the floating village. Before you get close, however, you’ll take a detour off the main highway and take the longer way to Kompong Khleang. This allows you to drive on bumpy dirt roads and in the rainy season rice paddies full of scenic views. Along the way we will stop at a local market so you can see how people shop in the countryside.
When you arrive in the village you will board a boat and travel through the heart of Kompong Khleang, passing by stilted and floating homes that have been here for generations. Learn about life on the Tonle Sap and then make a brief stop at pagoda for a blessing. Return to the boat to venture out to the Tonle Sap. You will then return to the dock, get in the Jeep and head to Siem Reap.
This tour lasts approximately 5 hours and profits are donated to Lavender Jeep.
